Account deletion
Delete your Clinilog account
This removes your Clinilog account and every health record stored against it. It cannot be undone, and there is no way to recover a check-in once it is gone.
The request has to come from the Google address you signed in with. That is the only way to be sure it is really you — nobody should be able to erase another person's medical history by typing their email into a form. The button below opens your mail app with everything filled in, so the message arrives from your own account.
What gets deleted
- Your account — the sign-in record itself, so Clinilog no longer recognises you.
- Your profile — the name, email address and profile picture link held for the profile switcher.
- Every check-in — all fever, pain, rash and fatigue answers, temperatures, scores, times and notes, for every day you recorded.
- Every photo still stored, whether or not it has reached its automatic 60-day expiry.
- Every invitation and share — anyone you gave read access to loses it, and your profile disappears from their app. Profiles other people shared with you are removed from yours; their records are theirs and are not touched.
What is not deleted
Being straight about the limits, because a deletion promise that quietly excludes things is worse than no promise:
- Reports you already shared. A PDF sent over WhatsApp, email or print left Clinilog when you sent it. Copies sitting in someone else's inbox or on their phone cannot be reached from here — you would need to ask them.
- The deletion request itself. Your email is kept as the record of what was asked for and when. Ask in the message and it will be deleted too once the work is done.
- Anything on your own phone. Your reminder times are stored on the device, never on the server. Uninstalling Clinilog removes them.
How long it takes
You will get a reply confirming the request, and everything above is deleted within 30 days — usually within a few days. A second email confirms when it is done. If the request arrives from an address that has no Clinilog account, you will be told that instead, and nothing will be deleted.
If you only want to stop using the app
You do not have to delete anything. Uninstalling stops the reminders and leaves your history intact for later. To cut off Clinilog's access to your Google account without erasing your records, remove it from your Google account permissions. To stop one person seeing your records, revoke that share in the app — no email needed.
